Do you deliver,
set-up, dismantle and collect the bouncy castles?
Yes, and
delivery is free within an 8 mile radius of our location in Telford. Further distances may be
subject to a small additional charge.
When are your
bouncy castles available?
Our bouncy castles are
available seven days a week, all year round, including bank holidays.
Do you hire bouncy
castles for events such as school fetes or fund-raising days?
Yes,
please contact us for further details.
What about
the weather?
Some of our bouncy castles have
shower covers, but even if a light shower is
forecast, as soon as it stops raining, give the castle a quick dry with a towel
and carry on bouncing! We also offer a free of charge cancellation option
in the event of bad weather. If it is very wet or windy and you no longer
want the castle that you have booked, you can cancel the booking by telephoning
us by 8:30am on the day of hire, and because we don't operate a deposit system,
you don't have to pay a penny! We cannot allow a hire to proceed if very
high winds or storms are forecast. Check the local weather forecast for
your area
here.
When do you
deliver?
We deliver from 8:00am and
during busy summer periods we deliver on a geographical round basis.
However, we try to be as flexible as possible so please ask at the time of
booking if you need a specific time slot. We do of course give precise
times if the hire is indoors, such as in community centres or village halls, or
if the hire is for a school fete or fund-raising event.
How long can
I keep the bouncy castle?
We normally deliver in the
morning and collect in the evening but we try to be as flexible as possible so
please ask at the time of booking. If you hire a castle for only a few
hours, such as for an indoor event or an after-school activity, the price will
be the same because the same amount of work is involved for us. Our normal
collection times are between 5:00pm - 7:00pm but this can vary depending on the
time of year. Castles must be well lit if used in the dark.
How late can
I leave it to book?
During the summer months we are
very busy, particularly at weekends and bank holidays, so you are advised to
book early to avoid disappointment. However, we will accept bookings as
late as the same day, so it's always worth a phone call if you do make a last
minute decision.
How long do
you need to set-up and take down a bouncy castle?
Approximately 20 minutes,
depending on access.
Can I collect
a castle from you?
No, sorry, for insurance
and safety reasons we must deliver and install the castle.
What
preparation is needed before you arrive?
The
castles are delivered on a sack truck so we need adequate access for this.
Please ensure that paths or access to your garden are free of obstacles.
We will need access to an electricity power point within 50 metres (approx. 164
feet), or we can hire you a petrol generator.
What sort of
surface do you need for the castle?
Castles situated outdoors need
to be on a reasonably flat grassy area (slight slopes are ok) so that they can
be staked down. If you haven't got grass but have a slabbed, paved or
tarmac area
please let us know so that we can provide a cover for the area and sand bags for anchorage
(may incur an extra charge) The area needs to be completely free of any sharp stones
or objects.
How much room
do you need to erect a bouncy castle?
You need to add approximately
6ft to the quoted depth of the castle to allow for the air blower at the back
and crash mats at the front. You also need to allow about 3ft to the width of
the castle to allow for movement around the side walls. Any overhanging
trees and prickly bushes need to be pruned back.
Can your
castles be used indoors as well as outdoors?
Yes, we set up castles indoors
for internal hires such as community centers and village halls. We provide
sand bags in this situation to secure the castle. You will need to check
the height of the ceiling at your venue to ensure the castle you have chosen
will fit.
Do I need to
keep the blower running?
Yes, the blower must be running
constantly whilst the castle is in use. If there is a sudden change in
weather and there are strong winds, just switch off the blower and let the castle
deflate.
How much does
it cost in electricity to run a bouncy castle?
It
costs less than £1 to run a castle all day.
Can we move
the castle?
No,
once the castle has been delivered and installed and our staff have left, the
castle must not be moved or re-positioned under any circumstances.
Why do I need
ID?
If
requested two
forms of ID will need to be produced, one showing your address (such as a recent utility
bill) and another showing your name and signature (such as a driving license).
This is required by our insurers and therefore if you fail to produce valid ID
on the day of hire, we will be unable to proceed with the hire.
What about
insurance?
We have public liability
insurance which would cover accidents which were our fault, such as equipment
failure or failing to install a castle properly. You are responsible for
the supervision. We will provide you with detailed safety instructions
based on current guidelines issued by the Health and Safety Executive.
Do you supply
safety instructions?
Yes,
we provide detailed safety instructions with every hire, based on current
guidelines issued by the Health and Safety Executive.
Do you supply
crash mats?
Yes, we supply crash mats with
every castle which fully comply to current Health and Safety Regulations.
Is there an
age limit for children using the castle?
Yes, all of our castles are
suitable for children up to and including the age of 14, with the exception of
our adult suitable inflatables which are suitable for all ages.
Do you supply
castles suitable for adults?
